NEW YORK (AP) - YouTube wants to question comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert as part of its defense against claims that it illegally airs Internet snippets of sports and entertainment videos. The request, which surfaced Tuesday in court documents, was made last week to the judge presiding over lawsuits brought against YouTube by Viacom International Inc., England's top soccer league -- The Football Association Premier League Ltd. -- and indie music publisher Bourne Co. The lawsuits claim, in essence, that YouTube profits from massive copyright infringement of television programs and feature films. The documents seeking the depositions pertained only to the Viacom lawsuit. YouTube says it needs depositions from more than 30 people to fight legal challenges that "threaten to silence communications by hundreds of millions of people across the globe who exchange information, news and entertainment" through its Internet product.
Oil is up; gasoline is down; so, what’s up with that?
Despite an increase in oil prices, gasoline prices in the area have been decreasing in recent weeks. In Warren, gas prices on Friday were averaging $2.79 a gallon for regular unleaded in Warren. According to PennsylvaniaGasPrices.com, gas was as low as $2.56 a gallon in Erie. Some of the highest gas prices in Pennsylvania were Bradford, at $2.92 a gallon, Johnsonburg, at $2.94, and $2.97 at Wellsboro. Nationwide, the average price of gasoline was $2.82 per gallon on Wednesday, down for the third week in a row. Gasoline prices peaked nationally at $3.23 per gallon at the end of May. United Refining Company spokesman Larry Laughlin talked about the reasons for this, which revolve around supply and demand. Earlier, there were several major refineries in a main shutdown mode, and United was in the middle of shutdown.

Behind Young, the Generals had Mike Fagert (84), Mike Talese (85) and Steven Stefanik (90) crack the scoring column on the par-72 layout at Pine Hills in Brunswick.
Dix 6 lawyers ask judge to modify anonymous jury order
CAMDEN Defense attorneys for three of the six men charged in May with plotting to kill soldiers at Fort Dix have asked the trial judge to modify an order calling for an anonymous jury. The issue of referring to potential and sworn jurors only by numbers could be re-opened at Friday's status conference in the case. Richard Sparaco, representing Serdar Tatar of Philadelphia, suggests in a brief filed with U.S. District Court Wednesday that defendants and their attorneys be permitted to elicit personal information from potential jurors, but asks that the information be covered by a protective order. That order would bar the media from releasing the identity of any juror. Sparaco argues there has been no showing that his client has any history or plans to impede the judicial process.
